Its been a week....read this

Its been a week since I updated, so I will try to update starring the days and highlighting some of the good things.

Last Thursday my class ended. That was a great thing, then the kids in the class got our professor to come out to the pub/bar with us a for a pint of guinness.

Friday: we woke up then took a long bus ride towards the city of galway. in the middle we stopped by the monastic site of cl0nmacnoise. it had a great view and some great history. then we went to a whiskey distillery. it was great. there was a barrel of whiskey that obama brewed. yes he can!
then we got to galway. we were living in a hostel which was apparently ranked as one of the best hostels in Ireland...wooo...they still charged me for internet. boo

Saturday: woke up after a night of a lot of drinking that i had not done in a while. drank a lot. the irish are so nice. a lot of people helped me decide what drinks i should order to get drunk faster. after breakfast we went took the bus to this town called connemara. a town full of nice cows, some sheep, some donkeys, and beautiful scenery and soil. the scenery was pretty. the irish bus driver was so nice. singing to us. but he did it once, it was nice. but then he kept doing it. got a little bit annoying. and when everyone was falling asleep he would play loud irish music for 30 seconds.
then we went to kylemore abbey, which looked like hogwarts because it was at the bed of a mountain and surrounded by a lake and was a HUGE house thing. it had a victorian garden with it. absolutely disappointing. i dont care about different patterns of grass.
then went out again in the night - dublin beat galway in hurling. great day.
usually, on the streets of galway come out men, women, and creepers alike to promote certain pubs and bars. there's a coyote ugly type bar which had 20 different promoters. pretty annoying actually.

Sunday: woke up. checked out of the hotel and took a bus tour to aillwee cave and a birds of prey zoo type thing. the cave was alright. it was a natural site which was a typical cave. nothing too spectacular. it can get pretty dark in their though. the birds of prey were owls, eagles, vultures, hawks, a raven, and random pictures of penguins.
and then we went to the cliffs of moher, an absolute gorgeous site of 8 km wide set of cliffs right by the see. it was damn amazing. camera died so no pics. pretty pissed about that still.
additionally, i sat next to a indian family and uncleji talked to me about american, irish and indian culture and did traditional indian uncleji hand motions...like the bulb. i giggled in my mind.

Monday: after getting back, it was time to get ready for first day of internship. originally i was scheduled to work at SEI investments however since i was late to arrive in ireland, they instantly replaced me for the project. so then there were talks of working as a finance intern at Bentley Systems, their international european company. that was good. however my eusa: non-profit organization trying to get me a job: adviser was away for the week. so her boss put me with a small company called Sky Business Centres. It seemed like a good experience until training.
during training, i met this french girl who had been interning there for four months. i was basically going to be a secretary...eff that. haha i was so pissed throughout the training. however i did learn some html and had a great day talking to Maud for a while. it was much needed after all the lack of talking with my housemates right now (i haven't been able to be myself around them since they are all such good friends already. however i have a good relationship with my roommate who also goes to uconn but i did not know him). but maud was a great girl, she was leaving the very next day, so was going out with the other frenchboy intern and the other guy who ran the other branch of sky business and invited me to join as well. we all went and had three rounds of drinks, i had a guinness, a jameson cocktail, and a bulmers and got pretty tired. it was a great night after work though. i was finally talking and was able to be myself. it was great :-). i will miss maud. :-( - we coulda been great friends.

but the great thing about that day is - while in training, i checked my email right after lunch. apparently i got the internship position at Bentley Systems, and Eusa organized for me to leave SkyBC and not being the office bitch. i was damn glad and happy.

Tuesday: first day at Bentley's. will be in credits and collections department and its a great opportunity to learn. very easy going environment and lots to do. plus 4-5 more essays to do for class and my internship.

now i am tired. i hate lebron. i hate nadal. bye.
